Frequently Asked Questions
Common Questions About Water Systems
How do I know which water system I need?
Every home's water is different. That's why we start with a free, no-obligation on-site water test. We test your water, show you the results, and recommend only what your water actually needs — whether that's a full system or nothing at all.
How much does a water softener or filtration system cost?
Our systems are flat-rate priced and include professional installation. Whole-home systems start at $1,599 installed, and our complete home system (softener + chlorine filtration + reverse osmosis drinking water) is $2,999. There are no hidden fees or surprise charges — the price we quote is the price you pay.
How long does installation take?
Most installations are completed in a single day. Our certified installers handle everything cleanly and efficiently — we use premium copper/PEX fittings, optimize your plumbing layout, and leave your utility room cleaner than we found it.
Do you offer financing?
Yes, we offer flexible financing options with low monthly payments. For example, our Complete Home Water System is $55/month. We'll walk you through the terms and APR during your free consultation so you can choose what works for your budget.
What warranty do your systems come with?
Our systems include a lifetime warranty on tanks and dry parts, a 5-year warranty on the control valve and filtration media, and a 1-year warranty on labour. Reverse osmosis drinking water systems carry a 1-year warranty. Full details are available on our warranty page.
Will a water softener reduce my water pressure?
No. Our systems use advanced 1-inch internal porting designed to maintain full water pressure throughout your home. You won't notice any pressure drops in your showers or appliances.
Do I need a separate tap for reverse osmosis drinking water?
Our standard RO systems include a dedicated faucet installed in a separate sink hole. If you'd prefer not to drill a second hole, we offer the Brookwell Trio — a 3-way pull-out spray faucet that combines hot/cold water, filtered drinking water, and a pull-out spray in one fixture for a $187 upgrade.
What's the difference between a water softener and a water filter?
A water softener removes hardness minerals (calcium and magnesium) that cause scale buildup on fixtures, appliances, and pipes. A water filter reduces contaminants like chlorine, sediment, and organic compounds that affect taste and odour. Many homes benefit from both — that's why our Complete Home System includes softening, filtration, and RO drinking water.
Is well water safe without treatment?
Private well water is not regulated by municipalities and can contain iron, sulfur, hardness minerals, and potentially bacteria. We strongly recommend a free on-site test for any well owner. Our well water systems are engineered to handle iron staining, sulfur odours, and extreme hardness common across Ontario.
What areas do you serve?
We serve Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area, including York Region, Peel Region, Durham Region, and Halton Region — over 40 communities in total. Enter your postal code on any service area page to see the average water hardness in your neighbourhood.
